Potomac River / Mason Neck State Park

On the tidal Potomac in the Belmont Bay. Flat to choppy water. Very shallow very far out. Occasional logs or branches in water. Narrow beach, non-existent at high tide. Trees right on shoreline. Best months are April/May and September/October. Gusty most of the time. Best winds are out where the water is deep. Usable year round except when iced over. Wetsuit needed. Water: Shallow, Chop. Features: Toilet. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
