Skyway Bridge South Rest Area

Flat and choppy water. Lots of shallow areas. A big sandbar is just north of the rest area. No beach. Some rocks around. Launch out of the shallow water, lots of space there. Best in NE, N and NW winds. Look out for some thermals and updrafts close to the mangrove shoreline. Usually just shorts. A couple of cold weeks in the winter, but very warm compared to anywhere not tropical. Then a shorty should be fine. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop. Features: Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
