Waves can range from 1-2.5m in fall/spring and 3-5m in winter. The southern pier produces nice glassy rollers that can provide 10 bottom turns per wave. The northern pier can get big and will spit up head and half to double over size walls that will close out quick. Hence the nickname: David and Goliath. Do not take off close to the wind mills. In winter you will have more days that you can't kite because there is too much wind as opposed to not enough. When it's blowing over 30 knots it's best to use this spot as a downwinder as you will not be able to hold point. Water temp will stay between 18-28 C, air temp will give a chill so long sleeves is recommended in late fall and early spring. Water: Smallwave, Mediumwave, Bigwave. Features: None. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
