Stone Harbor Inlet

The water is clean and you can use the tides to your advantage. It offers flat water and varying wave conditions. Large sandbar island in the center of the inlet. Sandbar island offers plenty of room and no one around. Small to medium waves on the oceanside. Large open beaches also good for buggy or dirt board. Many launches to choose from depending on the wind direction. Don't forget you have access from 123rd street in Stone Harbor to the North. This is the best place for South winds. Off-season the beaches are empty and free of lifeguards. This area is good for all wind directions because of so many areas to launch. Fall is the best because the water is still warm but spring is also excellent. Mid winter is cold but it's windy for the hard-core. Best time of the year is spring and fall. Mid winter gets too cold.
