Beautiful green water. Only kiteable when it is high tide and some hours before and after. It is a large pool protected by a coral reef. So check out the tide tables. Water is perfectly flat. Blue reef left, the real stuff is here: Bali's very own Hookipa. Sideshore winds with wave up to 10 feet provide the perfect conditions for jumping and wave riding. Looking to the sea is about 200 meter on the left of the light tower. Here the waves can be very hollow and over 6 feet you must be really good. Is better with wind sideshore with tide from medium low to high. Blue reef right about 300 meters right of the light tower, you will find this wave very nice to ride specially in the days with wind little bit side off shore. It's easier then Blue left as the reef is deeper and the waves smaller. The peak is pretty far out and the wave not to big holds up quite well, watch out for the big set that close out on all the line, jibe and run away! Not too good with high tide. Pura Mertasari (dirty beach). Friendly renamed by some kite surfer is very convenient for launching specially in the wet season and then go downwind until the Blue Oasis. Is possible to drive there and park close to the beach. Beach is not too big. Wind is a bit the problem, as there is no guarantee at all. Take definitely your largest kite wind you. 16 and bigger will do. Mostly you can expect winds between 10-15 knots. Not more. Best season from May to September. Can be stronger winds but not steady from December to March. June to August every day from 10-20 knots. December to March unpredictable from 15-35 knots. June to August sideonshore, December to March sideoffshore. The dry season is from April till October and wind months as well. Temperature is tropical, no wetsuit needed. Water is 25-32°C. Air from 20-35°C. It is possible to surf all year around. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop, Mediumwave. Features: Rooms, Shop, Rescue, Shower, Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
