It's an inland lake, so no tide at all. It's fairly flat, but when the wind has been blowing hard for a couple of hours, some small chop appears. The water is almost everywhere fairly shallow, waist till neck deep. But across the lake there's a old canal, so it is deep there. No sand beach here. Just a narrow lane of grass. There is room to comfortably lay out 1 kite but with some good will a couple of kiters can share the spot. Entries/Exits: I recommend to go kiting at the local kiteboarding club called 'Backside' the club was formerly known as 'de Kreekrakkers'. They have a private part of the lake, and you can launch there. The spot lays at the base of a dyke, so it's mostly gusty, shifty winds, until you've sailed away from shore. Winds between 10-25 knots. Mostly Southwest till Northwest. The weather is typical Dutch, that is cold from mid Oct-May and really not that fun to kite (air: 6-12°C, water: 8°C). In summer May to August, it can be nice, but you still need a wetsuit almost all the time (air: 16-25°C, water: 14-19°C). For a local wind update: Weatherstation De Binnenschelde. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop. Features: Rescue, Shower, Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
