Beautiful turquoises water. Big shallow area with sandy bottom. During summer the low tide is very shallow. Excellent place for beginners. Closer to the mangrooves you will find few, flat rocks. A reef protects the lagoon and can be very shallow if the water level is very low. Several areas before the reef with algues, but no problem for riding. Outside the reef are two islands, fun trip to ride there, but do not step on the island, it is military zone. Be careful with boats, do not ride close to them, since they host divers who will be in the water. Lots of space with helpful beach boys to start and land your kite. Launch and land your kite standing in the water. The windiest place in Egypt. Good winds throughout the year. Strongest winds in November, March and May. In the morning the wind is sideoffshore and gustier, getting less in the afternoon and steadier. Closer to shore pretty gusty, further outside smoother. Gets very hot during summer. Main season from November to end of April. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop. Features: Rooms, School, Shop, Repair, Rental, Rescue, Shower, Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
