Flat water, gets choppy with the sea breeze. Shallow sandbanks for kilometres. Fairly shallow, but offshore can get deeper. Expert riders can show off in the onshore winds in front of the town with 2/3ft high waves, on the right day, as kickers. Morning can be ice flat in both locations and still blowing 25 knots. Small, sandy beach to the south of the town which is good for rigging up, plenty of room and only a small cliff at the back if things go astray. Also many kiteshacks along the beach to hide out of the sun while not riding. SSW is the best wind, although it is directly onshore. It's the most consistent breeze and can blow up to 35+ kts. Most days are around 18-25 kts. Summer winds are in for about 6 months of the year. Predominantly Southwesterly with 15-35 knots from October to March. Summer is hot and sunny, so boardies only, due to the shallow bays water temp gets up to 29-30°C in summer. In winter it's the reverse and temps get down to 15°C. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop, Smallwave. Features: Camping, Shower, Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
