The water is flat to choppy depending on the strength and direction of the wind. The lake has a tendency to become unridable later in summer due to the amount of weeds and algae. Access to the lake is through Eagle Lake RV Resort, a day use fee is required, but they have a rigging area designated for windsurfers and kiters. A small beach does exist, but is shared with people camping at the resort. As with everywhere in Alberta, the wind is not that predictable. Check the weather for Calgary, it's close enough to base your plans on. Wet or drysuits are worn in the early season and possibly all season. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop. Features: Toilet. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
