Flag Beach is the start of some 6-7 km of white sand, with an about 3 km kitesurf zone. The best months for kitesurfing are March to November. This is when the sea tends to be flat and the wind consistent. During the winter months it can become too wavy and though it might be good on the occasional day it cannot be guaranteed. Waves up to 3 or 4m during winter possible when swell comes in. Big open beach, lots of space. With low water springs you have to be careful as there are rocks at both ends of the beach. Loads of really sharp rocks at low tide. Morning generally light (6-10 knots) picking up by 14:00 to a steady 15-20 knots. The wind is predominantly sideshore from the left. You also get some days with onshore winds when it is too hot and the land heats up. Nice air temperatures all year-round, around 25°C. Water: Flat, Chop, Smallwave, Mediumwave, Bigwave. Features: School, Rental, Rescue, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
