Similar lagoon to Anse la Raie, but a bit choppier conditions due to bigger openings in the reef. The first few yards in the water you have to contend with fishing boats that are anchored near the shore, thereafter it is plain sailing to the reef if you have a bit of tide. Not recommended at low tide because of numerous too shallow patches. The shallow water of this lagoon makes low tide riding a scary and sometimes expensive experience (fins). This lagoon has many traps in the form of coral heads and patches, however if you cruise upwind you will find very clear waters and good sailing zones within the bay of “Ilot Bernache”. Beach is made up of fine sand, not very wide or long with a few rocky patches. Wind is sideonshore or sideshore. Summer with less or no wind in summer. Best from June to October. Winter around the 20°C and summer around 30°C. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop. Features: Parking. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
