River Torrens outlet flows a few times a year. Water may become cloudy/dirty for a few days following heavy rain. Sharks have been sighted close to shore at these times. Shark Patrols (rotary and fixed wing aircraft) operate daily during summer months. Stay well clear of swimmers. Majority of days suitable for kiting there will be few, if any, other beach users. Please respect all other beach users. Avoid placing kites/lines near beach access walkways. Spring and summer (November to February): sea breezes (SW) give most consistent conditions. Watch for windshifts to SE (slight offshore and gusty) late in the day. Autumn (March to May) is nearly windless. Winter. Pre-frontal NWs..a great ride at "The Wall", North Haven (15km north). Post frontal W-SWs an OK ride, but can be very choppy - try Seacliff(15 km south) . Shorts/rash vest or shorty/spring suit November to April. Long arms/legs (3.2) for other months. Water: Shallow, Chop, Smallwave. Features: Shower, Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
