Hudson River, flat to choppy water. Pay attention to the two pilings close to the beach which are marked by buoys and the underwater rocks by the north tip of the park. Launch is small recessed area just north of the pile of rocks at the point. Point high to clear the rocks when heading out. If you miss coming back in, a boat ramp at the south end of the park provides an emergency exit. Winds come with depression of any strength. Summer lighter, good in spring and autumn. Best in NW winds. Summer is nice and warm. Winter very cold. Spring and autumn wetsuit needed, winter can bee too cold. Water: Flat, Chop. Features: Parking. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
