Not great for newschool stuff. Oldschoolers love this location though once they get to know it. Good kiterace potential too. Do not kite here if you cannot competently bodydrag to get your board. Never crowded. Shingle/gravel beach, nothing sharp though. Very kite friendly texture. Usually plenty of space on the beach to be able to avoid members of the public. They normally stick to the promenade though. Please be courteous to the old folks who often take an interest. In summer you will usually have a decent audience watching your jumps in front of the Hythe Imperial Hotel. Put on a good show! W or WNW is gusty due to buildings near the beach. With anything more north than ENE, go to Dymchurch/Greatstone. Water: Chop, Smallwave. Features: Parking. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
