When the tide is low, Torre D'Aires has almost no water, so you should prefer going to the island side. If the tide is up, it's a great place to try out new things. If you want, you can go to the ocean directly on the board. If you like waves, would prefer the ocean (but the waves are not so often). And, it's soft sand all around! There's lots of space all around. At the side of the island (Atlantic Ocean) you also have all the space you could want. No concrete in either cases. SW: mainly from March till October with 12-16 knots. E or SE: the rest of the year with 10-14 knots. From March until October we have the SW wind that is great because it's very reliable (usually from 12-16 knots). The rest of the year we can also get E or SE wind. Nice weather almost all year around. You can ride any time of the year. The water is at least 20°C most of the year inside the lagoon and a bit colder on the ocean side of the island. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop, Smallwave. Features: None. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
