Shallow at high tide, waist deep for about 400m out. Long walk out at low tide. Can get choppy. About 1.5 mile long sandy beach, few rocks or stones. Only about 20m of beach at high tide, but about 200m at low tide. Gets very busy during summer months (school holidays). Better for evenings during summer months. Usual direction is SW. Best would be any North, West, Easterlies. Can get up to 8 Bft. Generally light winds during summer, better in winter. General south coast England water/air temperatures. Summer shorty, full wetsuit for winter. Summer late May to September. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop. Features: Rescue, Toilet, Food. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
