Warm, blue green water. Strong current at times. Pretty choppy. Lots of fun wave riding. Waves are nice and can be fairly large. Head high plus on the good days. Well spaced sets that allows for smooth riding between sets. High tide generally brings big shore break. The beach is nice. Clean, generally soft sand. Some places with rough shells but not usual. Beach is long and deep. Average of about 75 yards from dunes to water. The winds here have some holes. Fairly steady. If you happen to blessed with a job that allows you to leave at moments notice, it's possible to get a couple days of good kiting in a week during the winter season. Best direction is Northeast and Southeast. Onshore makes it tough to get out. Wind year round but best months are late fall through early spring. Always sunny and warm. Some days in the winter a spring wetsuit is necessary. Average air temp. is 71°F in the winter and 87°C in the summer. Average water temp is 78°F. Water: Smallwave, Mediumwave.
