Flat butter by the mangrove side, chops in the bay side. Huge sandbar at the tip of the mangrove. Bring diving shoes to protect your feet from stingrays or sea urchins. No beach, just in the middle of the bay by the most westerly point of Key Biscayne. Only good when Southwest to North winds. Usually the perfect spot when a cold front passes over Miami. Miami air: 18-32°C, water: 24-29°C in season. Bring a wetsuit for cold days, but only a few days is it necessary. Season is October to April. From October to February the water temperature will go from 79-60°F if we get a cold front, so bring a wetsuit if you get cold on this kind of weather. From March to June the water will be at 75-80°F so a wetsuit is not necessary. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop. Features: None. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
