Depending on the wind direction and strength, this place can be paradise. It has all to offer in about a 1km square inside the reefs, or an abundance of Bass Straight. It has perfectly clear water on a nice sea breeze and you can view many stingrays and large fish swimming under you. It has many little rock beds around the place that offer shelter from the wind chop for perfectly smooth kiting. Quite deep mostly. Out behind the reefs, you can hit nice point breaks, that get to about 3 foot, glassy clear water. Bit weedy, but rather nice and open, not much area to launch your kite at high tide! Soft sand, plenty of launch area at low tide. Car park is 10m from the beach. 8/10 days blows SE or SW in the summer, between 10-20 knots. Works on SE, S, SW. Very cold, 13°C mostly, but warmer of course in summer. 5mm wetsuit or 4/3, even a drysuit would be good. In summer air about 26°C and water about 20°C. When the wind picks up (15-20 knots sea breaze) a spring suit is most comfortable. Water: Shallow, Flat, Smallwave. Features: Parking. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
