Can get good swells especially in winter. Launching can be tricky at low tide - especially in winter when there is kelp on the beach. Winter wind is usually NW. Summer is usually SE, which doesn't work at Kommetjie. The water is coldest in summer when there has been a SE wind for a while. Water: Mediumwave, Bigwave.
