Fresh water Lake Erie. Flat to choppy water with small waves. Excellent wave and flat water spot on a Southwest wind. Flat water behind the jetty. Shallow access. Snowkiting in winter. Beach has debris. Watch out for people on the beach. Launch WAY up wind. A beach permit required in the summer. Check with locals for rules and launch sites. Most common wind is Southwest. Normal winds 15 to 25 mph. Some thermals, but generally it is 15-25 mph or dead calm. Best wind comes in spring and fall. July is historically light. Year round season with the use of land boards and snow boards. Surfing from spring to fall. Wetsuits from April through May and late September to early mid November. Summer only requires board shorts. Water: Flat, Chop, Smallwave. Features: Shower, Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
