Usually there are some waves. Heights depends on wind direction, but usually below 6 feet. Gets deep quite soon. Use this beach on south winds, the pier will block the waves. Take care about boats and fishermen. Trouble last year because fishermen took away the whole area on the water. Nice sand without shells or anything else. Lighter winds the norm for the summer. 2-3 days a week are usual in spring. 1-2 days a week for the summer. 3+ the norm for fall. Good in south winds due to jetty. The beach curves, making N and S sideshore closer to the jetty. Short wetsuit probably necessary all year, long or drysuit in fall and spring. How long rideable varies, season May to October. Water: Flat, Chop, Smallwave, Mediumwave. Features: Toilet, Parking. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
