Flat to choppy water. Shallow for about 100 yards. A pier in front of the beach. Be careful, there is submerged piling about 100 ft away from the end of the pier. Small, sandy beach in a national park. Packed on warm weekends and during holidays. Don't take any risks. If the beach is packed, go the east end of the park and rig and launch here, away from the crowds. Best winds with frontals during winter. Hot and humid in the summer. Wetsuit in the winter time when cold air from the fronts blow through. Water temps varies with the seasons. Very warm in the summer and cools off to wetsuit temperatures in winter.
