Flat to choppy water. The swell in the lake can get head high and the surf will reach a little over waist high. The swell will provide you with perfect ramps to boost off of. The Kings Beach kiting scene is unmatched, providing beautiful blue water, and gorgeous mountain views. There are hazards such as submerged rocks, boats and buoys. You should launch as close to the pier as possible on the far right side of the beach. Be cautious of people and children on the beach. Ask for help. The launch is a nice sandy beach but small. There are houses directly down wind of you. There is no room for error when launching here. There is a really nice grassy area to blow your kite up and then it's a very short walk to the beach. Launch area is rather small and full of civilians. Use caution. The wind window at this spot usually is good for up to 4 hours, there are days however when the wind will come up and blow all day long, and provide for the most epic session of you life. Cool all summer long, a shorty or full wetsuit is recommended. Water: Flat, Chop, Smallwave. Features: Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
