Westernmost end of Kitebeach Maui. Shallow blue and 8'-12 depth for 1/2 mile out. Sizable waves in winter months which can be ridden from the outside all the way to shore. Works best with a big Northeast swell and trade winds. Clean sand, plenty of area to launch and land your kite. Long sandy crescent beach great for walking back upwind. Can be very consistent trade winds, often times very strong due to funneling effect through mountains. Best in NE tradewinds, sideonshore. Pretty much warm all year long with an occasion or two in winter for a spring suit. Occasional shower may blow through but known to pass quickly. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop, Smallwave, Mediumwave, Bigwave. Features: Camping, School, Shop, Rescue, Shower, Toilet, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
