Ocean with chop, some fun waves on the sandbar. Look out for swimmers and stay out of the swimming area, marked by buoys. Soft sand beach marked off from beachgoers. Can be very crowded with kitesurfers and crowds will be just next door to the launch area if the weather is nice, so be careful! Anything with East works here. Cross shore can get shadowed and weird. Due east can be tough to get upwind through the waves--intermediate or higher only. From October to May there is enough wind 1 in 2 or 1 in 3 days, usually for 10m-14m kites. Outside of those months there is very little wind and it's usually storm winds (gusty, direction changes). Normally warm air and water. When Northerly cold fronts pass through in winter, then up to a long wetsuit may be needed. Water: Chop, Smallwave, Mediumwave. Features: Rooms, School, Shop, Repair, Rental, Rescue, Shower, Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
