Beach shelves gently, a few rocks at northern end at low tide but better sailing is normally at southern end of beach. Waves can get big if strong north westerly otherwise water state dictated by local wind conditions. Sailable at most states of tide. Go to the southern end if the beach is busy although this is only likely in peak summer periods. Outside of peak periods good learning venue at low tides loads of space for those embarrassing drags up the beach. Access by car park. Beach faces Northwest. Wind can vary between 0-90 mph, depending on depressions. Wind is only clean between West and NNW otherwise gusty because of headlands. Usual UK conditions dictated by low pressure systems tracking in from West. Spring wetsuit for summer otherwise full steamer required. Can sail all year round if you are hardy enough. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop, Mediumwave. Features: Rescue, Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
