Excellent waves on SW winds and swell from the ocean. Due to long wave breakers you can have very flat water in between on low tide. On high tide you can't see the wave breakers, so be careful. Watch out for the current when the tides change. Some obstacles in the water. Sandy beach, which gets very small on high tide. It can even vanish, then the only access to the water is directly from the promenade. Lots of space on low tide. Further south the beach gets a big bigger. Best winds in fall to spring. Can be any force with depressions (mainly Westerlies). Summer lighter winds. Best wind directions: SW, SSW and WSW. Summer is nice and warm. High season a short is ok, a few weeks with just shorts is possible. Usually a wetsuit is always needed. Water max 22°C in summer, normally around 15°C. Winter gets cold, but a thick wetsuit, gloves, mask and shoes make kiting almost year-round possible. Air: summer between 20-30°C, spring and fall around 15°C. Water: Flat, Chop, Smallwave, Mediumwave. Features: Rooms, Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
