Flat water, as it is located in the San Quintin Bay, totally protected from swell. At low tide it is a little muddy, but there is a lot of space to launch. At high tide, it is better to launch south of the Old Pier. Wind is generally weaker than in the open ocean but can blow 20+ knots. Usual direction is north, which is sideshore. June can be foggy with not much wind. Great from mid July on. Can be chilly all year long. Best conditions in June (warm weather and strong winds). Water is warmer than in the open ocean. Water: Shallow, Flat. Features: Rooms, Camping, Shower, Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
