During low tide it's quite a long walk to the water, from where you park your car. The water is flat and shallow than. When it gets high tide, the walk isn't that far. The water is perfectly flat, like a mirror, near the cars and a bit further more out it's real choppy. Generally speaking there are no waves. The water is most times perfectly flat cause the beach lays in a U-shape. Besides that you can stand in the water for a couple hundred meters so that makes it excellent for beginners to start and for experts to do their tricks. The water is very dirty. Watch out for seaweed. The beach is very huge, so launching is not a problem. With low tide you must walk a few hundred meters to reach the water. At low tide there are some wooden sticks (not many) so watch out a bit. Safe, since there is always shore. At high tide the beach can get small. Can be almost all directions. That is the big advantage of this bay. Mainly Southwest, although in summer sometimes East. Almost all directions are OK but then sometimes you must walk a lot to come back. East, Southeast and South is offshore! Especially Southeast and East are dangerous and this directions are not suitable for kiting. Always bring a wetsuit! For most people I guess to season goes from April to Oct/Nov. It is possible to kite during the winter months, just make sure you dress properly. During spring the air temperature will be somewhat like 15-20°C, summer 20-25°C, sometimes 30°C, in autumn it will drop to 10-15°C, end of Oct. it will drop below 10°C. Winter, it is cold...from freezing cold to nice days of 8°C. Water temps are 4-5°C in winter months, to 18-20°C in summer months. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop. Features: Food, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
