The water is usually great. The tide doesn't really matter although it is a fair walk out if it is low tide. On high tide there is flat water until about 50 metres out and then it turns into chop which is great because you can go charging and launch off the chop. Water is fairly shallow in some spots. Sand down one end and gritty sand on the other end. There is plenty of places to launch. There is a fairly large beach. And off the beach there is a nice grassy paddock. Southerlies in the good season usually come in at a constant 15-20 knots. Here you can have 4 seasons in one day. It is usually around 17°C. Some times you need a wetsuit and sometimes you don't. You can surf on and off season. The good weather is from September to March. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop. Features: Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
