Water is flat water to choppy. The tide is not extreme, you can kite on a high or low tide. Launch from the kite area on the beach and head south to Green Pt a few hundred metres to find the odd bay wave as the chop breaks over the reef - tiny, but can be fun. The reef is bare at low tide. Plenty of grass to set and pack up. The beach is wide. There is enough space to launch and land without a hassle. Pick your launching and landing spot carefully. On S winds the landing is rocky if you go downwind. On N winds there are safe landing areas but beware of the family swimming beach. The best wind is a sea breeze which comes through regularly in the afternoon in summer. This comes in from the Southwest. Northerlies are kiteable however usually gusty. NE is a bit too gusty and uncomfortable. SE is gusty but not so bad. A wetsuit is a must in winter but is usually not needed in summer. In summer expect a sea breeze and temperatures often over 30°C. Water: Flat, Chop, Smallwave. Features: Shop, Rescue, Shower, Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
