The water is most of the time choppy with the wind. We have the trade winds most of the year and in the winter we get cold fronts. With the fronts comes waves, sometimes up to 8ft faces. Barrier reef, which is visible, since the water is very clear. Some flat reef plates close to shore. About 5km long beach, with white, soft sand. Lots of space, very few sun bathers. The wind usually comes out of East which is the perfect condition. Sometimes it is 25 kts, sometimes it is 10. Depending on cold fronts and other weather systems around. Most of the time, the weather is sunny and windy. On occasion we get some periods of calm days. I would recommend that the best time is in winter, October to February. But the summer permits a good 10-18 kts mostly ever day. Excellent weather throughout the year. In winter a shorty or a wetsuit can be helpful on colder days. The water here is always a bit warmer than in the shallow areas around the Great Exuma beaches. Water: Chop, Smallwave, Mediumwave. Features: Rooms, Food. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
